Find Your Voice. Reclaim Your Story.

Find Your Voice. Reclaim Your Story.

If you’ve been craving a space where you don’t have to shrink, code-switch, or explain the weight you carry before you speak—this is for you.

Heather "Byrd," founder and CEO of Byrd’s World, created this space with one mission: to empower individuals, especially women of color, to write and publish their brilliance. Byrd’s World is not just about putting words on a page—it’s about healing, reclaiming yourself, and turning your message into a movement.

Every other Tuesday, Byrd’s World hosts Open Houses—writing spaces curated by and for women of color. It’s one of those rooms you don’t forget.

Here’s what makes it powerful:

  • Writers from across the country are journaling, publishing, and reclaiming their voices.
  • A community that shows up for each other—some for the very first time.
  • Space to write through pain, joy, and everything in between without fear of being unseen.
  • Stories of transformation—like the woman who found her community after meeting a member in the park, or the writer who finally permitted herself to write freely.

Between the laughs, the Byrd Seeds (those ah-ha moments), and the applause, every session is 90 minutes of healing and self-honoring.

You’re invited.
